THE ARGENTINA CULINARY EXPERIENCE
ITINERARY: august 16-24, 2014
Day 1 - Arrive in Buenos Aires
Welcome to Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina and the country's largest city. Upon arrival to South America's second-largest metropolitan area, you will be welcomed by Sovereign's Guardian Angels with amenities as you load into private luxury sedans that will escort you to your hotel. You will enjoy a welcome reception at your hotel with a wine and cheese tasting. Then enjoy a gourmet welcome dinner as we prepare to begin our exciting journey together. Day 2 - Buenos Aires
Wake up in Buenos Aires to a light breakfast, as you enjoy a leisurely morning. The afternoon begins with a tour of bakeries, as we hop on and hop off four of Buenos Aires' top bakeries, which most are over 70 years old. Then our group will experience Argentina's traditional beverage with demo tastings of Yerba Mate tea. A dinnertime treat awaits us at one of Latin America's top 50 restaurants, where you will experience a demonstration of a modern Argentine farm to table full dinner and wine pairing. Day 3 - Buenos Aires-Montevideo
We start our day fresh and early for breakfast, as we prepare a ferry ride to Montevideo, Uruguay, which is the southernmost capital city in South America. The lovely waterside roadway allows a glimpse of the locals enjoy fishing, drinking yerba mate, or biking while enjoying the great views of Montevideo. HOTEL: Luxury Accommodations |
Day 4 - Montevideo-Mendoza
Today we fly out to Mendoza, Argentina, where it known for production of olive oil and is the largest wine producer in Latin America. Mendoza is one of nine cities in the world that is part of the network of Great Capitals of Wine, and specializes in 'wine tourism' as its region's hundreds of wineries are located along the Argentina Wine Route. Day 5 - Mendoza
We continue our exploration in Mendoza by touring three wineries, finding out firsthand the emergence of enotourism, or wine touring, in this lush region. Our group will enjoy lunch while taking in the mountains and beauty of this metropolis. HOTEL: Luxury Accommodations

Day 6 - Mendoza
The tour of Mendoza's ample wineries continue, as we explore two more just before enjoying lunch in a wine-producing sub-region of Argentina's largest viticultural area, where our group will dine with the majestic views on the west side of Mendoza. HOTEL: Luxury Accommodations

Day 7 - Mendoza-Buenos Aires
We fly back to Buenos Aires, and then dine and shop. Lunch will be at one of the best known parrillas, or steakhouse grills, in San Telmo. A tango show will shed some of the cultural flavor of this magnificent region. HOTEL: Luxury Accommodations |
Day 8 - Buenos Aires
After breakfast, we head to northern Buenos Aires and visit the town of Tigre, a very important tourist and weekend attraction. Here we have the opportunity to explore the area's stalls of fruits and vegetables, unique kitchen items, and clothing, and choose a location for lunch on our own. HOTEL: Luxury Accommodations |
Day 9 - Buenos Aires (Departure)
Upon breakfast, we enjoy some leisure time as Sovereign's Guardian Angels prepare you with private transportation to the international airport for your journey home. MEALS: B *Itinerary is subject to change |
