ITINERARY
Day 1, September 29th: Arrival in London
Guests arrive at London Heathrow or London Gatwick and are greeted by Sovereign's assistants, who will provide welcome amenities as guests arrive and are loaded into limousine transportation to their London hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, guests are pre-keyed into each of their appointed rooms at arrival and will be given the Day 1 Reformation Tour newsletter that will identify the day's events at the Ligonier Ministries guest reception. Day 2, September 30th: Bunhill Fields & Smithfield
After breakfast, we will head to Bunhill Fields Cemetery, known as the "cemetery of Puritan England." Walking through the cemetery, you will see the graves of John Bunyan-Pilgrim's Progress, Isaac Watts-noted hymn writer, Daniel Defoe-Robinson Crusoe, Susannah Wesley-mother of John and Charles as well as members of the Cromwell family. After lunch on your own, we will visit Smithfield where clergyman and Bible translator, John Rogers, became the first martyr under Queen Mary the 1st. We will conclude our day of touring by visiting the site of one of George Whitfield's famous crusades at Moorsfield. HOTEL: Five Star Accommodations |

Day 3, October 1st: Westminster Abbey & Hampton Court
After a lecture and buffet breakfast, we will take a guided tour of Westminster Abbey, the church that gave rise to the Westminster Confession of Faith. After our time at Westminster, we will travel to the historic Hampton Court, residence of King Henry VIII and where the decision to begin translational work on what would eventually become the King James Version of the Bible. We will enjoy time in the gardens and tour the massive estate before driving back to London. HOTEL: Five Star Accommodations |

Day 4, October 2nd: Cambridge
After a quick breakfast this morning, we will board a luxury coach and head to the city where the Gospel of the Reformation was first preached: Cambridge. Entering the university city of Cambridge, we'll tour King's College Chapel, one of England's architectural gems. The Chapel houses Rubens's The Adoration of the Magi. We will tour the city's historic areas and visit the site of the White Horse Inn. Dinner is on your own this evening as we return to the beautiful city of London. HOTEL: Fiver Star Accommodations |

Day 5, October 3rd: Windsor
After a breakfast and lecture, we will head south of London on our luxury motor coach to Windsor. Windsor Castle is not only a royal residence but also the resting place of some of England's most prominent monarchs: King Henry VIII and Queen Victoria. You will stroll the grounds, visit the castle and dollhouse, and visit charming Windsor before heading back to London for dinner and lecture. |

Day 6, October 4th: Oxford
After a quick breakfast this morning, Oxford is one of England's famous University cities with a rich Reformation history. The early English reformer, John Wycliffe, was a professor at the university. Other well- known students included Bible translator William Tyndale and the great revivalist preacher George Whitefield. We will have lunch in Oxford, followed by a walking orientation tour including Christ Church College Cathedral, and the Martyr Memorial. HOTEL: Five Star Accommodations |

Day 7, October 5th: Departure From London
After enjoying breakfast, Sovereign's assistants will assist all of our valued guests to their departures from London Heathrow or London Gatwick Airport. |

Please Note: Itinerary and speakers are subject to modification without notice. To fully participate in this tour, you must be able to walk long distances, have good balance capabilities and be able to walk on uneven terrain. There will also be some climbing involved as well as long periods of standing. Due to the historical nature of some of our destinations, not all facilities will be ADA compliant. Parents are welcomed to register children above 16 years of age with at least one accompanying adult. We apologize that children under the age of 16 years of age cannot participate in the tour. |
