2016 OnePassion Ministries Scottish and english Reformation Tour

ITINERARY: May 17 - 25, 2016

Day 1 - Arrive in Edinburgh, Scotland

Guests arrive at Edinburgh International Airport (EDI) and are greeted by Sovereign Guardian Angels who will provide welcome amenities as guests wait to be loaded into the chartered luxury buses that will deliver them to our Edinburgh hotel.

Upon arrival at the hotel, guests are pre-keyed into each of their appointed rooms at arrival and will be given the Day 1 Reformation Tour newsletter that will identify the day's events at the OnePassion Ministries / Sovereign guest reception.

Day 2 - Edinburgh, Scotland

After a quick breakfast this morning, we will explore the historic Edinburgh Castle. Areas of this ancient castle date back to the 11th century. Within the castle grounds is the Stone of Scone, the famous stone recently returned to Scotland, and the Scottish Crown Jewels. Afterwards, we will head to St. Giles Cathedral where the Reformer, John Knox, preached powerful sermons and the Edinburgh School of Divinity and Edinburgh Theological Seminary. After lunch on your own,we will tour Holyrood Palace, the Queen's official residence in Scotland, and where Knox confronted Mary Queen of Scots with the truth of the Word of God.

Day 3 - Edinburgh, Scotland
After a lecture and buffet breakfast, we will travel to St. Andrews, where the city juts out into the North Sea. Visit the ruins of the cathedral, destroyed during the Reformation and enjoy a brief message by Dr. Lawson. We view the Martyrs Monument, and visit San Salvator's Chapel where Patrick Hamilton was burned at the stake for promoting the truths revealed in the German Reformation.

Day 4 - Edinburgh, Scotland

After a full Scottish breakfast, we will tour the areas where the great Scottish Covenanters were held, persecuted and executed, and where the Greyfriars Monument currently stands. We will also visit Magdelene Chapel. This afternoon you will have the opportunity to explore Edinburgh and enjoy dinner at any number of fine restaurants on your own.

Day 5 - Edinburgh to London
Leaving Edinburgh, we will ride via high speed rail south through the countryside. We'll cross the England/Scottish "border" and bid goodbye to the beautiful hilly fields and steams of Scotland. This afternoon we will arrive in London where we will check in to our historic hotel and enjoy an early dinner and lecture with Dr. Lawson.

Day 6 - London

This morning, we will head to Bunhill Fields Cemetery, known as the "cemetery of Puritan England." Walking through the cemetery, you will see the graves of John Bunyan—Pilgrim's Progress, Isaac Watts—noted hymn writer, Daniel Defoe—Robinson Crusoe, Susannah Wesley—mother of John and Charles as well as members of the Cromwell family.
After lunch on your own, we will visit Smithfield where clergyman and bible translator, John Rogers, became the first martyr under Queen Mary the 1st.

This afternoon, we will attend worship service at Grace Life London Church and then enjoy a meal of fellowship together in Old London.

Day 7 - London

After breakfast, enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of London & tour of Westminster Abbey, the site where the Westminster Confession of Faith was written. It is also the location of many of the graves of many of the world's most famous people including many of the early Kings and Queens of England. Time and Parliamentary sessions permitting, we will also tour the British Parliament.

You will have the opportunity to explore London on your own for dinner this evening.

Day 8 - London

After a traditional English breakfast, we will begin the day with a visit to St. Paul's Cathedral, designed by Sir Christopher Wren. After lunch on your own, we will spend some time exploring the British Museum and the British Library, home of the Magna Carta, Codex Sinaiticus, and the earliest copy of Tyndale's New Testament; the book brought about a revolution in England.

We will return to our hotel for a final farewell dinner and lecture with Dr. Lawson.

Day 9 - London

After enjoying a continental breakfast, Sovereign's Guardian Angels will assist all of our valued guests to their departures at Heathrow.
