2017 OnePassion Ministries english and Scottish Reformation Tour

ITINERARY: August 26 - September 3, 2017

Day 1 - Arrive in London, England

Guests arrive at London Heathrow or London Gatwick and are greeted by Sovereign Guardian Angels who will provide welcome amenities as guests arrive and are loaded into limousine transportation to their London hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, guests are pre-keyed into each of their appointed rooms at arrival and will be given the Day 1 Reformation Tour newsletter that will identify the day's events at the OnePassion Ministries / Sovereign guest reception.

Day 2 - London, England

After breakfast and our second lecture, we will head to Bunhill Fields Cemetery, known as the "cemetery of Puritan England." Walking through the cemetery, you will see the graves of John Bunyan—Pilgrim's Progress, Isaac Watts—noted hymn writer, Daniel Defoe—Robinson Crusoe, Susannah Wesley—mother of John and Charles as well as members of the Cromwell family. After lunch on your own, we will visit Smithfield where clergyman and bible translator, John Rogers, became the first martyr under Queen Mary the 1st. We will conclude our day of touring by visiting the site of one of George Whitfield's famous crusades at Moorsfield.

This afternoon, we will attend worship service at Grace Life London Church. Dinner is on your own this evening in spectacular London.

Day 3 - London, England
After a lecture and buffet breakfast, we will travel to historic Hampton Court, residence of King Henry VIII and where the decision to begin translational work on what would eventually become the King James Version of the Bible. We will enjoy time in the gardens, tour the massive estate, and enjoy a meal at the property before driving back to London.

Day 4 - London, England

After a quick breakfast this morning, we will board a train and head to the city where the Gospel of the Reformation was first preached: Cambridge. Entering the university city of Cambridge, we'll tour King's College Chapel, one of England's architectural gems. The Chapel houses Rubens's The Adoration of the Magi. We will tour the city's historic areas and visit the site of the White Horse Inn. Dinner is on your own this evening as we return to the beautiful city of London.

Day 5 - London to Edinburgh
Leaving London, we will ride via high speed rail south through the countryside. We'll cross the England/Scottish "border" as you are greeted by the beautiful fields and steams of Scotland. This afternoon we will arrive in Edinburgh where we will check in to our historic hotel and enjoy an early dinner and lecture with Dr. Lawson.

Day 6 - Edinburgh, Scotland

After a quick breakfast this morning, we will explore the historic Edinburgh Castle. Areas of this ancient castle date back to the 11th century. Within the castle grounds is the Stone of Scone, the famous stone recently returned to Scotland, and the Scottish Crown Jewels. We will head to St. Giles Cathedral where the Reformer, John Knox, preached powerful sermons. Returning to the hotel in the evening, you will have a night on your own in Edinburgh.

Day 7 - Edinburgh to St. Andrews

After breakfast, we will tour the areas where the great Scottish Covenanters were held, persecuted and executed, and where the Greyfriars Monument currently stands. We will also visit Magdalen Chapel, the Edinburgh School of Divinity and Edinburgh Theological Seminary. After a quick break for lunch, we will then depart for magical St. Andrews where we will have an upclose opportunity to view the Royal St. Andrews

Dinner and lecture with Dr. Lawson will be followed by a good night's rest in your luxurious accommodations.

Day 8 - St. Andrews

After a traditional Scottish breakfast, we will visit the ruins of the cathedral, destroyed during the Reformation and enjoy a brief message by Dr. Lawson. We view the Martyrs Monument, and visit San Salvator's Chapel where Patrick Hamilton was burned at the stake for promoting the truths revealed in the German Reformation.

We will return to our hotel for a final farewell dinner and lecture with Dr. Lawson.

Day 9 - Departure

After enjoying a continental breakfast, Sovereign's Guardian Angels will assist all of our valued guests to their departures at EDI.

Please Note: OnePassion schedule of tour events is subject to change and modification.

To fully participate in this tour, you must be able to walk long distances, have good balance capabilities and be able to walk on uneven terrain. There will also be some climbing involved as well as long periods of standing. Due to the historical nature of some of our destinations, not all facilities will be ADA compliant.

Parents are welcomed to register children above 8 years of age with at least one accompanying adult. We apologize that children under the age of 8 years of age cannot participate in the tour.
